Fable: The Journey video game for the Xbox 360 Kinect

I recently checked out Fable: The Journey at the library. I was intrigued by the description on the back cover, which leads you to believe it’s a game about magic. My kids are into magic (thanks to Harry Potter), so I checked out the video game for them. I played the game with my oldest daughter. We both enjoyed Fable: The Journey, but we thought the game starts off really, really slow.

Fable: The Journey features magic and casting spells. However, you spend the first 20 to 30 minutes steering a horse. Boring. This part of the game reminded me of the Oregon Trail video game. Fortunately, you eventually do get to the part where you use magic to defeat your enemies. I have to admit, zapping goons with my hands was pretty cool. I actually thought I was a Sith from the Star Wars series. I think if gamers can get pass the slow start, most of them will enjoy the game — especially gamers who are into magic.
