According to Huanqiu, a Chinese publication, Apple will launch a bigger version of the iPhone this May. If the report is true, the tablet-size iPhone phablets will be a separate product line from the iPhone 6 smartphones, which are expected to debut in September.
The iPhone phablets will feature a display that is larger than five inches. The device will most likely be powered by a 20nm processor made by TSMC that’s either going to be a new A8 processor or a revamped A7 CPU. Samsung currently manufactures the 64-bit A7 processor used in the iPhone 5s and 2013 iPad models, on a HKMG 28 nanometer process.
