Get Me This for Christmas – a flying car

AeroMobil flying car profile

I love the AeroMobil. It’s a flying car. For real. Don’t believe me? Check out the video below. The AeroMobil looks great and it can transform from a car into an airplane in seconds. According to their website, as a car it fits into any standard parking space, uses regular gasoline, and can be used in road traffic like regular automobiles. As a plane it can use any airport in the world, but can also take off and land using any grass strip or paved surface just a few hundred meters long.

Introducing the Three-Wheel Elio Car

Elio car in the snow

By the end of next year, you might be doing a double take when you see the new Elio car driving around on a street near you. Why you ask? Well, it only has three wheels (two in front and one in back). And it’s small — about 13′ long and 54″ high. The Elio is the same length as a Honda Fit, but only half the weight. With a starting price of $6,800, it’s also less than half the cost. The car looks weird with only three wheels, but Elio Motors is claiming their car gets about 84 mpg on the highway and 49 mpg in the city. That is amazing.

Garmin Nuvi 1300 GPS Navigator Review

I’ve been playing with a Garmin nuvi 1300 GPS Navigator for the last few days. State Farm sent it to me for hosting a giveaway (the nüvi 1300 GPS is the prize). According to Amazon, the list price is $250 (it’s actually $150), but they are currently selling the gadget for $88. The nüvi 1300 is my first GPS device. I never had a need for one because I like to look up unknown destinations before I drive there. I call it being prepared, but some people probably think I’m just an anal control freak. However, GPS technology hasn’t only been beneficial to the regular consumer. Companies are using this technology for fleet tracking systems to benefit their businesses as well as their employees.

After playing with the nüvi 130, I can see why people like GPS devices. They are fun to play with and useful too. In short, I like the Garmin nüvi 1300 GPS Navigator. However, if I was to invest in one, I would buy a model with bluetooth technology. In my opinion, if you’re going to mount a GPS on your windshield or dashboard, you might as well turn it into a hands-free device for your cell phone.
