Over the weekend, I checked out Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure at the library. The game is totally fun — especially if you and your kids love Pixar movies. Kinect Rush features five games in a Disney-Pixar park setting. As you can tell by the title, it’s a video game for the Xbox 360 Kinect system. Kinect Rush (Microsoft ) is available now with a list price of $49.99. However, you can currently purchase it for $29.99 on Amazon.
The five games in Kinect Rush are:
- Toy Story
- The Incredibles
The five games in Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure feature characters from the Pixar movies. However, you don’t get to pick your own character. All the games involve running, jumping, and throwing. Some games also include zip lines, car racing, kayaking, and flying. My favorite is the Incredibles game because I like being a superhero and The Incredibles is my favorite Pixar movie. On the other hand, my toddler loved the Ratatouille game even though Cars is his favorite Pixar movie.
Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure supports up to two players. The second player is a teammate, not a competitor. Personally, I like the single player mode better because I’m not fond of the two-player split screen.
The only negative thing about the the video game is that it’s only for the Kinect system and you can’t use the Xbox controller. If you’ve played a Kinect game before, then you know it’s not easy to run along a path that curves. But running around like you’re drunk is part of the fun. We all got a big laugh when we accidentally run into a wall during the game.
